Hickory man sentenced to 20 years in prison for selling meth and cocaine from his auto detailing business

HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN Town Information) – A Hickory man has been sentenced to 20 several years in jail for advertising methamphetamine and crack cocaine and conducting the majority of the profits from his vehicle detailing small business in Taylorsville, in accordance to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

Elwood Steptoe, 41, of Hickory, has been sentenced to 20 many years in jail and five several years of supervised release for distributing narcotics, authorities reported.

In December 2020, law enforcement realized that Steptoe was trafficking narcotics in Catawba and Alexander counties. About the course of a five-month investigation, authorities decided that Steptoe was selling considerable amounts of meth and crack cocaine.
