The Art Murals of the Children of Mangal Newton School, BeawarLearning about batteries and capacitors from Solar Punch at Mangal Newton School, Beawar

"What a name" is the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about our plans of visiting Mangal Newton School.  The school along with the name has some more exceptional features including Broadband Wi-Fi connections. Thanks to the enthusiasm of the school students our visit to this school has been more than successful to informing them the various ways of protecting the environment and how they can make a difference.

The day took off with the IYCN founders sharing their experiences and educating the students on the possible ways to contribute to environment and fighting back the climate change. Curiosity is one quality that comes naturally to students and this time the reason was REVA. The students asked tons of questions while they were inspecting REVA - our second home. By the time we were done with the sessions just at the entrance of the school Solar Punch had already set up their equipement  which were all charged up and it was the perfect time for Solar Punch to take the centre stage.

Solar punch performances have been the peak moments of our tour and this performance was no different. The band started off with their gig and then moved on to "Yun hi chala chal rahi" and with the students singing along with them, the performance just got better.  All the students were sitting in ques according to the class they were attending, but seemed that they were sitting height wise. The band got the students to their feet and this was one perhaps the most enthralling experience the students ever had. As the performance came to an end, we could see the students excited about climate solutions and more importantly they were up to the challenge.

Though we had a perfect day with the students at Mangal Newton School, I am still wondering about the school name.

I hope you all oppose nuclear plants, do you?

I can't find anything on your website that specifically says nuclear is not "clean energy" just because it doesn't contribute to climate change. Nuclear waste will pollute the earth for hundreds of thousands of years. Our generation has no right to produce it! Also, proliferation of nuclear weapons is connected to and inevitable with nuclear power plants. (Witness your own country. and Pakistan, and Israel. All made weapons while pretending to want reactors only for electricity. Ditto North Korea. Ditto Iran.) I'm worried that some in your wonderful movement may limit themselves to the easy environmental problems -- to the delight of your own government and mine, who are pushing nuclear energy worldwide.
