Hariyali Teej Festival Showcases Climate Solutions

In partnership with Red Earth, the Indian Youth Climate Network and the Climate Solutions Project curated a Climate Solutions Showcase at the Hariyali Teej night - the opening event of the 2009 Monsoon Festival. Despite being the day after Badlaav, the event was a great success. Red Earth had created a truly green event -- local foods being produced and served in clay matkas and leaf plates rather than any plastics or styrofoams. All decorations were natural colors and flowers, rather than using chemicals. It was a beautiful dance, with live music.

The Delhi Cycling Club organized a cycle rally into the Hariyali Teej Festival, and celebrated the spirit of Cycle ReCycle. Red Earth had also curated an incredible poster competition, showcasing incredibly talented graphic designers. The entire collection can be seen and purchased on the Monsoon Festival website.
