 Freeplay in ActionWe have loved travelling with Freeplay's solar and handcrank radios and lanterns. These simple tools allowed us to have music at any time of day or night either by leaving them in the sun or cranking them for a few minutes. It enthralled children, too, to know that they could create enough energy by spinning a lever in order to create beautiful music.

A minute of cranking of either the radios or the torches is enough to produce one hour of music or light!

Seems to be an interesting concept. But isnt cranking up a tidious task. Do you think the Crankup torch can replace lanterns? Can you share some more experiences w.r.t. to these crankup products.
